This basic information is essential for students like myself. It seems particularly important with the recent academic interest in materiality within fine art as well as wider philosophy. Although the internet is an amazing resource for research material understanding is very difficult due to the "second hand" nature of the image, this information on the artwork as an object would go someway to rectifying this shortcoming.
