  2. either stop being political or start being fair

    Politics is and can be part of the art world. But! an art repository being part of the one-sided propaganda push to condemn the war on one side and ignore it on another is just DISGUSTING! Is being openly racist and biased acceptable in 2024? How many Palestinian lives would you advertise for a single Ukrainian life in your estimation? Where is the Gaza banner? Shameless!

  4. Alfred Sisley and Camille Pissarro

    The Bridge at Moret, 1888 is by Alfred Sisley not Camille Pissarro. His signature is in the lower left corner and it goes with the many other paintings he did of the Bridge after he moved to Moret-sur-Loing. :)

    Indian artists name_ Vasudev Gaitonde, M.F. Hussain, Tayyab Mehta, S.H. Raza, Manjit Bawa, Raja Ravi varma, S.L. Haldankar, K.k. Hebbar, Rabindranath Tagore, K.H.Ara, etc Nd many more, You can search it.

  9. Mistake about Antonello da messina. Wrong attribution.

    Among the works of the Italian artist Antonello da Messina, There's an engraving representing a portrait of the painter: http://www.wikiart.org/en/antonello-da-messina#supersized-engraving-186508
    This is not a self portrait, but a portrait made by Vasari for his "Lives of the artists". There are in fact many of those portraits, each one representing a different artist, ad they are all made by the hand of Vasari.
    So, please, correct the error.

  10. Museum information on the artwork page

    If you click an artwork, you can see the artist, style and genre info, but there is hardly any information about where the painting is, now. So, I thought it would be better if there is location info of the painting, too.

  11. Galleries for Art Styles

    I enjoy exploring styles of art, but on the page for art styles it is organized by artist, and when I open the gallery of paintings by clicking on one, it includes all of the artist's paintings (which may not be of the same style.) This isn't always a problem (I may like the artist as a whole), but there are times when I am only interested in seeing a particular style. I would prefer to have the option to limit the paintings of an artist shown to those of a particular style or styles, and/or to have the ability…

  15. Add RALPH STEADMAN to the artist database

    Ralph Steadman is probably best known for his work with author and journalist Hunter S Thompson but his artwork is amazing and he really needs to be recognized for the great artist that he is.

  17. have a text only list of all artists, as I want to browse by artist. Pix of artist only consume screen space 4 me

    The current artist list has artist pictures and takes a lot of space per artist. I would like a big, text only list of all artists with images so I could see the whole list and somewhat randomly act on "I've heard of him/her, what do his paintings look like?" The current list where you only see only a few of the available artists on the screen at once is not as effective for this interactions. Thanks for a wonderful site.
