  1. Correct the location of "The Disrobing of Christ" by El Greco

Location on page indicates painting was destroyed. This is incorrect. The painting is currently housed in the Cathedral of Toledo in Spain (I should know, I saw it there less than a year ago with my own eyes!).

  4. "Study of a Classical Maiden" NOT A WILLIAM BLAKE SKETCH

    Hello WikiArt,
I was planning on doing a study of a piece you have attributed to William Blake, poet, painter, philsopher. You have it titled, "Study of a Classical Maiden", but in doing my research, I could not find ANYTHING referring to this piece, nor did it exist in anthologies of his artwork. So, I reached out to the Blake Archive and their response was that this sketch does NOT belong to William Blake (engraver), as you have attributed, but instead they suspect Sit William Blake Richmond, the son of Blake's friend George Richmond.

  5. Add content

Please add information on the works. Like the context, stylistic, iconographic, formal analysis of the work. I have an art class and it is the only thing missing so I can study on this site. It's very great!

  8. Update your iOS app since it will become obsolete with the next generation of iOS

Apple will be phasing out 32bit apps in a bit and since the WikiArt app has been neglected, we won't be able to use it in the next gen of iOS, which will indeed be very disappointing since I absolutely love art and history

  14. Make it possible to check/mark artists that you already checked out.

I browsed through 50k+ paintings, and I don't want to go over them again, because I don't remember which ones I already saw.

  17. coordinate with Wikidata:WikiProject sum of all paintings

The WikiProject sum of all paintings is a effort to get an item for every notable painting in WikiData. What's the purpose of this? Consider these questions: How many painting did Picasso create? Where are they located? Who owns them?

Wikidata is an open data Wikimedia project. Wikidata items are licensed under CC0 (a public domain-like license). Data can therefore be pulled from Wikidata without attribution. Google has been doing this for a while. Wikipedia & other Wikimedia projects have templates & modules that pull data as well.

  18. Gorgeous, but cannot find painting by Gaugin of many Tahitian women staring at man in far left corner his back back to us.Title?.

Know I have seen a copy of this painting but find nowhere on Google.
Wish to include in a story I am writing where I am the only white among many women of color. Assume the man in far left corner, back to us, was Gaugun or some white the women were staring at. I was in a similar position (the only white) in an all dark women's group that stood staring at me. But I cannot find this painting, sure I saw it.

I was surprised that Jean Baptiste Auguste Vinchon (5 August 1789 – 1855) is missing from this encyclopedia. Information about him is in Wikipedia at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Auguste_Vinchon

The painting Morro da Favela by Tarsila do Amaral is currently listed as being painted in 1945, but it was actually painted in 1924.
