  2. There Are Many Paintings Missing+Copyright issues

I see that a lot of paintings are missing, and that would be a huge flaw for an 'Art' Wiki!

I understand that it's not easy to include all paintings to the database.

So I suggest there be a corner where people can upload an image along with its provenance, etc.

That way I think WikiArt can reduce time used in enlarging its database, get more participation and feedback as well.

For example, for painter Rosa Bonheur,
I see that <Le Labourage (1844)> is missing.

In that situation I would like to upload my file and some information so that…

  3. remember where you were in a long list of (300+) artworks, or give customization to how many artworks per page shown

every time you go back to a page of long artworks (1000+), you have to click the expand button every 60 artworks to get to the bottom and find the one you need. It is especially irritating when you have to click in on an artwork to see the details, only to come back and see all your scrolling process gone to waste.

  6. Ease of use, store progress in cookies

Though the site is a great but to use is a little inconvenient. We can't has the three things altogether- the painting, information associated with the painting and third every time i go back i have to loose the progress made on that page. If you store the progress in cookies and made the other two within the play sequence in a side bar would be a great help. This would made our life easy. Thanks.

  8. Add Seth Eastman as an artist

Eastman's sketches of America in the mid 1800s are remarkable - particularly his watercolors.

  9. Add an organizer for the art styles pages

When you are on an artist's page there is an option to organize by latest works. On the styles page, for example rococo, in order to see the newest works you have to scroll through thousands of other works. It would be nice if it were able to be filtered.

  11. Why are there not more innovative contemporary artists on this page such as Jesse Kanda?

Artists such as Jesse Kanda, Bijijoo, Kitasavi, Robin Frances Williams should be on wikiart pronto.

  12. Enter surrealist artist Rob Gonsalves works

Rob Gonsalves is an incredible magic realism (surrealist). he creates dreamlike scenes which invoke childlike wonderment in its audience.

As an artist who is trying to learn from his works I am struggling trying to find basic information about his paintings, including the correct name of his pieces let alone the date on which they've been made. He is the first Surrealist whose paintings have ever made me feel a connection to the style, and as such I would like to study his work more in depth: to see how different periods of his life has effected his works, and…

  13. Zoom auto-centers the image which is a pain when trying to see small details

the image should not snap back to the center and instead stay on the area where you were when you zoomed in.

  14. Illya Ripyn, not Repin

Illya Ripyn is a Ukrainian, and not "Repin"
He had never signed his works "Repin"
    it was always "Ripyn"
    He isn't a russian painter
To tell the truth, he didn't love russia either.
change his nationality and name in bio, please

  17. BRAVO !

Bravo, it is wonderful to have this website. A wondeful documention for any painting lover. You should always give the dimensions of the painting or sculpture and the location, museum, private collection and so on. And a bigger picture definition.

  18. Make a WikiPhotoArt

What about all the great photographers? Bresson..Maier...Herzog...Leiter...is it possible to make a similar site, but for photography? Of course it would mostly be newer artists...20th century.

  19. Many fakes on this site

I suggest that when a Georgia O'Keefe painting is posted, you check it's authenticity. There are many copies and fakes of her work that show up here; then people 'pin' them on Pinterest as the 'real thing.' I suggest that Wikiart have at the very least link backs as to origin.
