You can just use a proxy... or, better yet, just use Google Images and search ”salvador dali site:wikipaintings.org” so you will have some way to browse them

But we already have that feature... On some paintings that reach price records at auctions we do note this: http://www.wikipaintings.org/en/jackson-pollock/number-5-1948-1 However, most artworks of the past centuries are in museums already. Price estimations would hardly be worth the effort.

Do you have an exact idea what the category should be named like? Sorry for my ignorance, but I haven't heard of a such term.

This would be an idea worth taking into consideration if we'd take the time to make Feature articles on various topics. I'm not sure that is on the planned list - at the moment single artworks are being featured on WikiPaintings facebook page, and I'm pretty sure I've seen at least once something with political/ideological theme. Until then, you can dig through artworks in the Social/Socialist Realism, Pop Art and Conceptual Art styles, for a start. :)

You can do that even now by using various methods, but I'm pretty sure you mean there should be a download button. Yes, but I suppose this should only exist for paintings which are in public domain.
Apparently it is not even Piranesi, but Carracci... for now though I fixed it to Apollo and Silenus. Sorry, it happens when you are crawling at least several dozens of artworks each day :))
