add many more female artists
One of the great shortcomings of western art history is the dismissive treatment of women artists. Please try to correct this ignorance!

ENH: templates: schema.org/CreativeWork RDFa, OpenGraph RDFa, Twitter Cards
Advantages to adding schema.org, OpenGraph, and Twitter Cards RDFa to the WikiArt page templates:
- search: search engines will index the artwork metadata
- sharing: when sharing a link (to e.g. Facebook, Twitter), social media services will display the image, name, year, etc.

Advanced search
Amazing website!
but the search system as a whole works really badly (for example, if I try to search for Las Meninas - Diego Velazquez, I get 347 paintings in the search output).
As a frequent user of the website I really think that the first very urgent thing that the page lacks is an advanced search.
It could allow to search by author or painting name by: genre, museum, year, material, style and technique.
If you add this option, it will be really great!13 votes -
"due to copyright restrictions"
What the fuck!! Due to copyright restrictions I cant view a fucking painting?!?? What absolute bullshit!! Its a fucking Dali painting, the most famous modern-day surrealist of this era and you fucking restrict it! What a bunch of arrogant cocksuckers and fucking pubes you are!! Fuck yourself before I come and cram a fucking Namatjiira down your throat!

move the "Download Our FREE Color Guide!" triangle to a spot that doesn't cover the title of the art
Hi WikiArt, the yellow triangle at the bottom left corner covers the title of the artwork, would you be so kind as to place it elsewhere, I suggest the top left corner.

On the new site you can no longer sort an artist's work by media type! Can we sort by media again?

Let us "favorite" Artists
It would be great if there was a "favorite" button on an artist's page! Then everyone could have a list of their favorite or "liked" artists on their profile to look back on! It would really help people keep their favorite artists in order, especially after having discovered a new one.

Original Art Work Names in their Original Language
Besides having the name of the art work in english, it would be great if you find the original name in its original language.

Get rid of that yellow banner on the bottom left! I can't see artist names!
Wikiart, once a bastion of profound images, has slowly filled with self-promotional ads and political messages that do not belong plastered along ALL of its pages. This website is for art! I don't come here to "Download a FREE color guide", nor do I come here to read the news!
I once browsed this site nearly daily enjoying updates to the Artwork of the Day and other featured pieces. Now, I don't like to go on the site due to the frustration with that dang yellow banner in the bottom left corner! At least let users disable this when they…

Allow download of the original/full resolution images
Allow users to download the artwork in its original/full resolution with a simple click on a button or link. This was previously available at wikipaintings.org, so I see no reason why you removed this feature.
