  5. Stop redirecting Russian IPs

Today I wanted to search for a painting I have seen before on this site and, surprise surprise, all I could see was triggering content to which I was stubbornly redirected seemingly due to the fact that I have to live in Russia. It just ruined my day, I am absolutely mentally and physically damaged by all this political situation which I totally don't support, and I don't want any extra reminder, all I wanted to do was looking for a funny painting, and now I am on a verge of a panic attack. Wrote this by using TOR, with…

  6. add great artists like Edna Boeis, margaret rose preston, mabel royds, and other wonderful female block print artists. More women!

I don't see anything on here for great block print artists like Edna Boeis, Margaret Rose Preston, Mabel Royds, Frances Gearhart, Arie Zenneveld. Can we please add them? Many wonderful women wood block artists at the turn of the century and around there that I would love to see represented.

  8. Taken aback by racist keywords

It was horrible to come across racist keywords when I opened the image Coolie (porter) by Vasily Vereshchagin. The keywords are: male-portraits, Primate, Common chimpanzee, Old world monkey

  9. Reconsider your placing Hilma af Klint in the Naive Art/Primitivism category

The term Naive Art could be misleading. Why not include Abstract Art, or Avant grade. She was highly educated, spiritual, and highly complex. Her abstract work seems to have predated Kandinsky, Mondrian, and Malevich. MW

  10. Ease of use, store progress in cookies

Though the site is a great but to use is a little inconvenient. We can't has the three things altogether- the painting, information associated with the painting and third every time i go back i have to loose the progress made on that page. If you store the progress in cookies and made the other two within the play sequence in a side bar would be a great help. This would made our life easy. Thanks.

  15. Filter by genre AND by date or style

If I select Artworks > Genre > Cityscape, I can now view 3600 artworks in order, starting in the 1300s. What I really want to see is expressionist cityscapes, or cityscapes from the late 1800s on. At the very least I'd like to be able to reverse the order, or better yet to view the full text list of works, which would allow me to zero in on a time period to start viewing.

I think it's wonderful that you show artists born on this day. might you provide us the function to manually search artists by birthday though? ie search artists born on December 25th without it having to be Christmas day?

  19. Correct misinformation in regards to "The Message" by Remedios Vara

the Message is clearly a collaged image utilizing material from color print magazines which did not exist in 1935 (the date refelcted on page) (https://www.wikiart.org/en/remedios-varo/the-message-1935). It is more likely that the date reflected on this page (https://arthive.com/remediosvaro/works/296119~Message), 1953 is likely more accurate.
