  4. bei Nationalität wird gelegentlich "Jüdisch" aufgeführt

    warum führen Sie keine Kategorie "Religion" ein, wo dann katholisch, protestantisch, schiitisch, sunnitisch, buddhistisch, ... eingetragen werden kann? Oder wollen Sie mit "Jüdisch" im Feld Nationalität die Künstl. diskrimienieren?

  5. research your photograph of José Guadalupe Posada attached to that article. I am quite certain this is a photograph of José Clemente Orozco

    My students are using this image as his, but a close comparison of photos makes this unlikely and I think it is misleading. What is your source attribution for this photo? Posada died in 1913 when camera technology was still limited. The sharper image of Orozco looks more like photos from the 1930's, the hair style and nose match Orozco. Images of Posada consistently have him with a longer handlebar mustache and more prominent cheekbones and never glasses. I do not believe any photos of Posada exist. This needs to be fixed.

  7. Please give options for viewing genres instead of only showing chronological - alphabetical, by century, etc.

    If I search portrait, it shows more than 10,000 results, but I have to start at Egypt and load 60 by 60 by 60 by 60. This is not reasonable. Give options for searching. Alphabetical, by region, by century, etc.

    Otto Muehl was a pedophile and notorius abuser at his so called "commune." Out of respect for the hundreds of lives he has ruined with rape, physical abuse, and mental abuse... perhaps we can stop glorifying abusive pedophiles just because he also successfully plagiarized artwork.

  11. Structured data (schema.org): correct some mistakes site-wide

    Right now some artworks have been marked up with the schema type Painting. But lot's of artworks are not paintings.

    See this installation/sculpture:

    If implemented correctly, this should actually have different markup, ie this:

    So if you go to the Structured Data Testing Tool from Google,

    You should have @type: Painting change to @type: Sculpture.

    This is important for WikiArt because it has an effect to the whole web and creates more context in what is known as the Knowledge Graph

  17. Rethink deleting artist names due to no images, there's licensing issues

    Stupid rule, can't do it due to copyright, so best you delete her then.

    "Please add at least 12-15 artworks to this page. We do not see the point to keep artist’s page without images of his artworks. So if you fail to upload any images, in 3 days this page will be removed"

    Very short sighted. Licensing is required to use her works I can not simple go and add them to your site.

  18. Return to pagination and artwork detail in new tabs

    Pagination is important as the artist may have thousands of artworks. But, When I want to open the artwork in new tab, it does not work. When I scroll through the library, I want to open several paintings in new tabs. Right now, it just opens up the same webpage i am already at with the artist.
    Months ago you introduced pagination, cool -not cool. If I want to see an artwork on eg. page 7, it directs me to detail page with the painting. When I go back, I want to be returned exactly where I ended up scrolling,…
