"American"
wikiart very helpful. Thanks
Although: please be correct. It's just wrong to say an artist is "american" meaning only USA and not for "mexicans".

Enable slideshows from every category
Please enable full-screen slideshows from any category or subcategory: movements, schools, genres, nationalities, centuries, etc. Although researching particular artists is interesting, another fabulous use of such a collection of images is to view randomly-ordered (with an option/preference for chronological) sequences of full-screen images. An icon for displaying an overlay with minimal identifying info (without disrupting the slideshow) would be great. My preference is for manual control of moving to the next slide, but an option for automatic transition (at a chosen interval) would be great.

Not assuming the artist is male
In the "About" section (https://www.wikiart.org/en/About) it's written "we try to get artist’s permission to demonstrate his art", I think this language should be gender neutral ("their permission").

Photographs of 3D objects
Just found a photograph of mine on your site which you claim is public domain. It is a photograph of Michelangelo's Pieta. Photographs of 3D objects (incl. sculptures) are not public domain. If you had just stolen my photo I wouldn't bother (many sites do so), but, with your false designation, you are also misinforming the public and encouraging them to unwittingly steal as well. Could you please remove the photograph from your site? It's this one https://www.wikiart.org/en/michelangelo/pieta-1499.

Would be nice if I wouldn't be obliged to load picture view of a list from the beginning when coming back from a single view.
A list of all pictures of an artist is shown in parts of, say, 30 pictures or so. When viewing a picture at, say, position 74 of a list of 200 pictures, I have to reload all previous parts of the list in steps of 30 pictures (or so), when going back from a single picture view to the list.
This somewhat prevents the latest pictures in the list to be viewed at all, since it's rather borring and annoying to redo the same procedure again and again.
Would be nice to have that changed…
Thank you.

Add Pietro Paltronieri to this site. He's an 18th century painter. Info about him is available on wikipedia.
It's an artist not included on wikiart. Seems he oughta be here.

to do some basic research before assigning some categories: "Degenerate art" seriously?
I would suggest you to do some basic research before assigning those categories: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Degenerate_art.
This is nothing like a painting school, but just a moral categorization invented by Nazis. So seeing all those great artists (https://www.wikiart.org/en/artists-by-painting-school/degenerate-art) still under this umbrella word in 21st century is just shocking to say the least...
